Waves 13 is one of a series of "Green Quilts" which focus on environmental healing. The fabric and the coloring create an emotion of coldness and barrenness associated with both poles. The quilt was inspired by the materials and came from Patricia's imagination. it was only after the quilt was completed that she visited Alaska, the northern most reaches of Norway, and in 2010, Antarctica.
