Abstract
As the winner of the Most Educational Award, this short film traces the items we utilize and throw away from our tables, kitchens, and homes all of the way to the waters of the Pacific and ultimately to the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, a mass of debris and particulate roughly the size of Texas. The film includes an interview with a field researcher as well as a brief study of potential international legal consequences of the pollution.
