This is a revised and updated version of The Guardianship Handbook: A Guide to Adult Guardianship and Guardianship Alternatives (1998) by Joan O'Sullivan. Professor O'Sullivan was a member of the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law faculty. During her career she represented thousands of low-income seniors and served as a mentor to legal services advocates in Maryland. This revision of the Handbook is dedicated to Professor Sullivan and her tireless work to preserve the individual rights and dignity of the elderly.
