As an integral part of the law making process an invitation to speak before a Federal Congressional hearing is both recognition of the invitee's expertise on a particular issue and an opportunity for the individual to help shape public policy.

The expertise of the Faculty at the University of Maryland School of Law has often been recognized by Congress and the contributions of UM-Law professors to the legislative process via Congressional testimony and submitted documentation are gathered in this collection.

The 'official' Government Printing Office version is provided whenever possible.
